Your thinking won’t get you to the next part

My kids don’t believe me that there used to be a phone number that you would ring to find out the time.

That’s not the only thing. You could add to that vinyl records, cassette players, pay phones in big box on every street, I could go on.

The pace in which things change is mind blowing. For example, the year 2000 was 21 years ago. Yes, you read that right.

Because everything around us changes, so the need for our thinking changes too.

What got you to where you are today, will not get someone else to the same point in the future. They will have to be more, know more.

Nothing is permanent. Just as we know that the bad times will pass, so will the successes, the discoveries. New inventions are only new for 1 day.

The same goes for our thinking.

If we are to continually move forwards our thoughts must go with us.

If you want to have personal impact then challenge your thinking, your view of the world.

Try these;

  1. Read, watch or listen to something every day – anything that you’ve never done before
  2. Seek out people who are different and talk to them – listen, learn, ask questions, be curious
  3. Take something that you believe to be true and try and disprove it – challenge yourself to shift your mindset

The more you get used to moving your thinking, the more you’ll move with the changes around you.

Discover your passion for thinking because if you do you will never cease to learn and grow.
