Trust

I’ve noticed friends on social media who seem to justify what they’re doing at the moment. ‘Met a friend, I was socially distanced!’ ‘Went to see my Mum, I stayed outside!’ It’s got me wondering why & I think I know.

Fear of criticism & a lack of trust.

What’s happened to some of us this past year? Some take great delight in commenting negatively about others. Why?

Well unfortunately, some people are just not nice. It happens, they exist. However, they are in the minority, most people are in fact kind. But because of that minority, people feel they need to justify their actions.

Imagine the same at work. Having to justify everything you do. Imagine the atmosphere.

So, make sure you tell those around you, that you trust them, it costs you nothing & takes none of your time.

The more they feel trusted, they can be better versions of themselves & the more they’ll trust you back.

The culture around us will be more positive, more productive, more creative, more open.

We’ll never drown out the noise of negativity, but we can determine the noise around us & the impact we have.

Meet that friend, see you Mum, improve that project, make that decision. You don’t have to justify what you do.

We trust you.
